We have a high-profile, expanding project portfolio including economic and market studies, evaluations and impact assessments, and legal and transposition checks.

We work regularly with DG REFORM, GROW, FISMA, COMP, ECFIN and the EXPO committee at the European Parliament, and other agencies and institutions within the EU.

What we look for:

Our success is due to our excellent team of consultants and researchers and we are now looking to strengthen our Economics Team further with the following profiles:

  • Research Analyst or Researcher focused on EU public policy,

The research analyst or researcher will contribute to delivering top quality projects and tenders to EU institutions in our core areas of business, notably:

  • Data analysis and collection in project workstreams (desk research, surveys, interviews, case studies, …);
  • Deliver high quality data analysis (qualitative and quantitative);
  • Independent drafting of sections of deliverables and proposals;
  • Meet project deadlines providing high quality contributions;
  • Client and partner interactions.

What we need:

  • MSc in economics or related;
  • Fluent (written & spoken) English (additional EU language preferred but not essential);
  • Excellent analytical skills to perform data analysis and interpretation;
  • Robust drafting abilities;
  • Brilliant communication aptitude;
  • Strong self-motivation as at VVA you can grow quickly into new and exciting responsibilities;
  • 0-2 years of professional experience;
  • Demonstrated interest in EU public policy (studies, traineeship etc. – especially EU internal market policy, economic policy, financial sector policy or competition policy);
  • Demonstrated interest in quantitative economics and counterfactual evaluation techniques;
  • Optional but not required: working experience in STATA, R, Python or similar.
