
Jessica is a Research Manager at VVA Economics & Policy.
Throughout her studies and previous professional experiences, she gained expertise in a range of fields including innovation, internationalisation, clusters and higher education. In the last years, Jessica has been involved in various projects run by the European Commission (EC).
Before joining VVA, Jessica worked as international consultant at Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovacao (SPI), a consultancy focused in innovation, science and territorial development. For two years, she was involved in many projects at regional, national and European level. Furthermore, she contributed to various bids launched by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). In 2018, Jessica spent half a year working in Beijing (China), with projects aimed at strengthening the relation between the EU and China.
Previously, she worked as an International Mobility Officer at her alma mater, the University of Santiago de Compostela (Santiago de Compostela, Spain) and the University of Humboldt (Berlin, Germany).
Jessica graduated in Psychology and holds a MA in International Relations by the University of Santiago de Compostela. She is a Spanish and Galician native speaker, fluent in English and possesses a good knowledge of Portuguese.
In her leisure time, Jessica enjoys practising yoga, hiking and reading.
