
Ilkka holds wide range of experience in EU policies including EU legislation on corporate reporting standards, Anti-Money Laundering Directive, the rule of law framework, interinstitutional agreement for transparency register, REACH regulation and circular economy package.
He holds 6 years of EU policy experience ranging from the European Parliament, industry representative and network organisations to civil society. This includes 3 years in project focused roles.
He has a Master’s degree in Sociology from University of Jyväskylä and has studied European Studies in Maastricht University.
Ilkka is methodologically knowledgeable with both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis. His expertise ranges from assessing the socio-economic impacts of regulation to analysing case studies. Ilkka’s past experience also includes creation of interactive databases, communications material and advocacy planning. Outside his Finnish mother tongue Ilkka is fluent in English.
Outside work, he is an active member of sports clubs and associations.
