
Francesco Romano is a Research Manager at VVA Economics & Policy.
His areas of interest and expertise cover, among the others, comparative politics of the welfare state, social policy and labour economics.
His skills relate in particular to desk research, literature review, data collection, quantitative and qualitative analyses.
Before joining VVA, he has built experience as an intern at the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies (CIFS).
Francesco holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Bologna, and a Master's degree in Comparative Public Policy and Welfare Studies from the University of Southern Denmark. In his Master thesis, he investigated the impact of labour market dualization on trade unions' strategies in Italy.
Francesco is a native Italian speaker, and he is fluent in English. In addition, he holds an intermediate knowledge of Spanish and he is learning French.
During his free time, he likes playing basketball and reading.
