Nelly Patroclou is a Research Analyst at VVA Economics & Policy.
Nelly has a thorough and proven knowledge of EU policies and expertise in a wide range of policy areas including trade, public policy, industrial organisation and macroeconomic policy.
Nelly specialises in policy research and quantitative methods. Specific econometric approaches she has used include regression analysis, difference in difference econometric approach, as well as panel and time-series data. Nelly has collected data via interviews, surveys, and public databases. She has drafted sections for evaluation and impact assessment projects and also has experience in drafting case studies, data analysis and literature reviews.
Before joining VVA, Nelly was a Graduating Teaching Assistant at the University of Warwick where she taught first year Economic students Introductory Micro and Macroeconomics , as well as Statistical Techniques. Prior to this, Nelly participated in multiple internships, with the most recent one being at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus. She worked within the Unit for Economic Diplomacy and International Economic Organisations, where she attended briefings, wrote reports and briefs to the Secretary General. Nelly has a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Warwick and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Reading. She speaks Greek and English fluently and has good knowledge in French and basic knowledge in Italian.
