Frithjof Michaelsen is a Research Manager at VVA Economics & Policy.
Frithjof has a thorough and proven knowledge of European law and EU policies and expertise in a wide range of legal areas including cohesion policy, environmental law, competition law and constitutional law. His expertise relates in particular to legal analyses and projects involving cross-country data collection and analysis.
Before joining VVA he was a Schuman trainee at the European Parliament’s Comparative Law Unit (DG EPRS) where he supported complex legal research projects and edited the unit’s publications to ensure their legal and linguistic integrity. Prior to this, Frithjof was a sourcing analyst at GEP, where he worked on operational and financial data analysis.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in European Legal Linguistics and a trinational Master’s degree in European Law. He has drafted a Master’s thesis on the European Union’s cohesion policy.
