Dilan is a Research Analyst at VVA Economics & Policy in Brussels.
She has a thorough and proven knowledge of EU law and policies and expertise in a wide range of areas including Justice and Home Affairs, Women´s Right and Gender Equality. At VVA, she is specialising in legal analyses and social policy work, in particular analyses on Swedish Law.
Before joining VVA, Dilan worked at the European Commission Directorate General for Justice and Consumers where she gained experience in the field of women´s right and gender equality on EU level. Before that, she was working in Sweden where she gained expertise in women´s right and gender equality on national level through her work in a women’s shelter and a care home for young girls in difficult life circumstances. Dilan also worked with integration of unaccompanied refugee children in Sweden. She completed her internship at the Ministry for European Affairs and Equality in Malta.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Örebro University in Sweden and an LLM in International law from Mykolas Romeris University in Lithuania.
Dilan is a native Swedish speaker, she is fluent in English, Kurdish and Turkish and is currently learning French.
In her free time, Dilan enjoys watching football, reading and spending time with friends.
