Basket Bond
Conceived as a medium/long-term funding instrument, Basket Bonds are designed to ensure the implementation of development and investment plans through channels other than the traditional banking system.
The core feature of basket bonds resides in overcoming the limits of MiniBonds, that is the difficulty to attract some investor profiles, specifically institutional ones such as CDP, EIB and MCC, who typically consider only minimum investments above a given threshold.
To overcome this issue, it is possible to resort to the securitisation of multiple bonds through a ‘basket bond’, namely a basket of selected companies (e.g. Regional Basket Bond, Export Basket Bond, Elite Basket Bond).
