Juan Moroni

Juan is a Junior Consultant at VVA Economics & Policy in Brussels.

Before he joined the company, he worked at the European Commission in DG CONNECT for the Digital Innovation and Blockchain Unit and for the Future Connectivity Systems Unit. There he contributed to the development of a European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI), to the creation of an International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA), and to the implementation of the European 5G policy. He also has experience working as a junior research and policy analyst at the International Telecommunications Union (ITU).

In VVA Brussels Juan has been involved in the following projects: ‘support to standardisation actions for EGNOS & Galileo in Drones/RPAS/UAVs’ for DG GROW, and ‘support the adoption of European GNSS services in Latin America’, also for DG GROW.

Juan has the Argentinian and Italian nationalities, Spanish as mother tongue, and is fluent in English, German, French and Catalan. He graduated as a Telecommunications Engineer from the Instituto Universitario Aeronautico (Argentinian Airforce University) in Argentina and holds a master’s degree in Logics and Philosophy of Science from the University of Salamanca, and one of Public Policy from the University of Erfurt in Germany. In his free time, he develops connectivity projects in developing countries.
