Briefing paper on the Industry and Industrial Relations Aspects of Copyright

VVA Europe, together with ÖIR GmbH, has been selected to conduct a study on the industry and industrial relations aspects of copyright in light of technological developments and the digital transformation for the European Parliament. VVA Europe and partners will be producing a briefing paper that aims to explore the added value and options for improving enforcement and fair remuneration and compensation in the EU Copyright system. The study will identify gaps in the current EU copyright framework and will also examine options for a potential reform of the system through interviews with relevant stakeholders. The study will help provide an overall assessment of the relative merits of further harmonisation of the EU Copyright regime and will feed into the European Parliament activities concerning the review of the InfoSoc Directive and related instruments.
