Assessment of competitiveness impacts of post-2020 light duty vehicle CO2 regulation

VVA is leading an assignment for the European Commission and DG CLIMA to study the competitiveness impact of post 2020 CO2 emissions regulation for light duty vehicles. The study, which is conducted jointly with TNO and Technopolis Group, makes a significant contribution to the literature as it involves a methodology of the competitiveness proofing tool that was never used before in this area. The study involves a market analysis, development of a conceptual framework, identification and measurement of impacts, competitiveness analysis (innovation, cost and international competitiveness). Recommendations will feed into the development of post 2020 regulatory scenarios.
